Mr. Daniel Glenn Wiley, Jr., 74, of Cascade, MD, passed away Friday morning, January 31, 2025, in his home.
Born December 10, 1950 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel Glenn Wiley, Sr. and Annabelle (Bowman) McCleary.
Mr. Wiley served in the United States Marine Corps.
He and his wife, the late Cindy Marie (Freeman) Wiley, were married November 30, 1979. They were together for 31 years when she passed away December 20, 2010.
Mr. Wiley was self-employed as a landscaper and general handyman.
He was a member of Cascade American Legion Post # 239 and William Max McLaughlin VFW Post # 695, Waynesboro.
Mr. Wiley enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and playing BINGO.
He is survived by three children, Terry Wiley and his wife, Bonnie of Cascade, Daniel Wiley, III and his wife, Sherri of Waynesboro and Steven Freeman and his wife, Merideth of York, PA; two grandchildren, Hunter Wiley and Kelsee Wiley; one great-grandson, Noah Daniel Hadzic; his loving companion, Julie Shifflett; one sister, Laura Fay Smith; one brother, Herbie Bowman; half-siblings, Theresa Edwards Cali, David Wiley, Kevin Wiley, Debra Wiley Saunt and Shannon Wiley; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by several sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 7, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Richard Daughtridge officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade, where military graveside honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service, Friday morning, in the funeral home
