Mrs. Darlene K. (Speer) Snyder, 80, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025 in her home.
Born October 15, 1944 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Clifford W. Speer Sr. and Leatha (Willhide) Speer.
Mrs. Snyder graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1962.
She and her husband, Mr. Dar E. Snyder were married April 13, 1963 in Waynesboro.
Mrs. Snyder worked as a custodian for the Waynesboro Area Middle School for over 20 years.
She enjoyed collecting Longaberger Baskets, americana items, flower gardening, campfires, picnics, walking with her friends and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michele Snyder of Waynesboro, Darla Hollars (Jerry) of Herford, AZ, Darin Snyder (Kerry) of Waynesboro, Timothy Snyder (Tiffany) of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Dustin Starliper, Colby Hollars, Caleb Hollars, Rachel Hollars, Zoey Snyder, Timothy D. Snyder, Kaeden Snyder, Brooks Snyder, Max Snyder, and Spencer Snyder; and a brother, Gary Speer.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Ronald Speer, Donald Speer, Clifford Speer, Jr., and Bobby Speer.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 24, 2025 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro with Pastor Barry Shank officiating.
The family would like to thank SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice for the wonderful care their mother received and especially thank nurse Karen Stumbaugh.
