Mr. Darrell Dean Veilleux, 68, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home.
Darrell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends. Born June 13, 1956 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Gerard Wilfred and Aletha Norma (Dickey) Veilleux. Darrell graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1974. Soon after, he married Martha Elaine (Fortney) Veilleux on July 29, 1978 in Waynesboro.
Darrell was employed in sales for most of his life, including tooling and paper industries. His hobbies included fishing, history, and New England / Boston sports. He was also a member of Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg, PA; a life member of the Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club and former member of the Lions Club, VFW and Eagles Club.
In addition to his wife, Martha, he is survived by three children: Devon Kyle Veilleux of Mechanicsburg, PA, Adrienne Krista Veilleux of Dallas, TX and Brittany Kara Sourbier and her husband, James Sourbier V, of Hedgesville, WV; five grandchildren: Annamarie, Alexander, Aaron, Abraham and Amelia and one brother, Daris D. Veilleux and his wife, Sue (Stites) of Waynesboro, PA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the start of the service in the church.
