Mr. David Richard Perry, 83, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Mercy House in Chambersburg.

Born September 10, 1941, in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late David N. and Izora (Barrick) Perry.

After graduating high school, David learned the draftsman trade at Landis Machine Co. He later earned his B.S. Degree in Engineering and was employed as a Product Safety and Reliability Inspector with Grove Manufacturing and later for JLG, where he worked until his retirement.

He married the love of his life, Karen V. (Fishack) Perry in 1962, in Waynesboro.

David was a member of Waynesboro Fish & Game. He enjoyed traveling and loved to hunt. Being in the woods was his happy place. He loved the outdoors. He was a skilled woodworker, and his ingenuity allowed him to create any tool that he needed! He was a friendly, humble and very generous man who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by two sons: Gregory E. Perry and his wife, Robin of Berlington, IA and James A. Perry of Waynesboro; two grandchildren: Kayleigh and Callie; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Fahnestock and number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, November 8, 2024, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, PA., with Pastor Bill Schuit officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
