Mr. David William Brizzee, 77, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

He was born on August 29, 1947 in Fort Baker, CA, he was the son of the late William Ellis and Frances Meek Brizzee.

His career in the United States Army spanned more than 20 years.

Following his retirement from the military, Mr. Brizzee filled his days by providing transportation for others in various forms. He was a school bus driver for a number of years, drove the Hagerstown city trolley for a time and also had his own limo service. A passion for flying lead him to become a pilot. In his last recent years, he was a member of the Quite Birdman Society.

Mr. Brizzee is survived by his children, Michael Brizzee and Michele Brizee Adair; step-children, Rose Ropp, Mary Beth Martin, Carl Christianson and Kerry Fechner; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Rita (Fisher) Brizzee, who passed away May 25, 2024 and grandson Derek Recard.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, near Rouzerville, PA where military graveside honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post # 1599, Chambersburg, PA.
