Delores L. Baker, age 92, joined the Lord on July 9, 2025, at Paramount Nursing Home in Fayetteville, PA.
Delores was born on May 17, 1933, in Waynesboro, PA, to the late Blanche (Whitmore) Monn and Clyde Monn. She lived most of her life in the Quincy, Mont Alto area. She attended Quincy High School, where she met her husband, Lawrence R. Baker.
She worked at Quincy Home as a cook and also at Franklin Nursing Home. She had great devotion to her family and loved spending time with them. She loved country and blue grass music, which she attended with friends. Many memories were made at these events which included area musicians and a lot of dancing. Often, she would help to serve food at these events. Delores loved to socialize and made quick friends.
Dorie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Dick” Baker.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Hawk (Robert Hawk) of Philadelphia, PA, and her son, Richard “Rick” Baker (Carolyn), of Waynesboro, PA and three grandsons: Robert Hawk, Jr. (Jennifer), of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Baker, Jr. (Stacy) of Kearneysville, WVA, Wesley Baker (Olivia), of Mercersburg, PA and two great granddaughters: Natalie (Robert, Jr.) and Valerie (Richard, Jr.)
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy Township, PA, with Jill Thompson officiating.
