Mrs. Elizabeth J. (Stambaugh) Hartman, 93, of Mont Alto, PA, passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2024, in Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville, PA.
Born December 7, 1930, in South Mountain, PA, she was the daughter of the late Curvin W. and Lottie (Shafer) Stambaugh.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Quincy High School with the class of 1948.
She and her husband of over 33 years, the late Mr. Clarence L. Hartman, were married July 17, 1949.
She was an office secretary with a real estate company for a few years before returning home to raise her two sons. She returned to the workforce as an office manager with an insurance company in Waynesboro, PA.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, James Hartman of Mont Alto, and John Hartman of Chambersburg, PA; her grandchildren, Corin, Joshua, and James; Great grandchildren, Brent and Zoie; siblings, Margaret “Peggy” Kauffman and Curvin Stambaugh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Fred W. Stambaugh, Paul R. Stambaugh, Richard L. Stambaugh, Mervil Stambaugh, and Anna Cook.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family, with burial at Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain.
