Mrs. Ethel V. (Saunders) Clevenger, 90, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born September 12, 1934 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Willbur and Vada V. Saunders.
In her early life, she worked for Rotarex. However, she was a homemaker for most of her life.
Mrs. Clevenger was a member of Lifegate Ministries, Waynesboro. She enjoyed animals and the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Clark W. Patterson, Jr. (Lavonda) of Fayetteville, Ronald E. Patterson (Roxanne) of Waynesboro, Cindy M. Welsh (Mark) of Chambersburg, and Star D. Patterson of Mont Alto, PA; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Patterson of Waynesboro; her son-in-law, Junior Stoner; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters; and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Patterson; her second husband, Dean Clevenger; two daughters, Susan Ruth Patterson and Melissa L. Clevenger-Stoner; one son, Donald Patterson; and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 23, 2025, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Dale Martin and Pastor Delton Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
