Mr. Floyd R. Sheffler, Jr., 75, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Waynesboro.

Born September 7, 1949 in Waynesboro, PA, he is the son of Floyd R. Sheffler, Sr. and Lois “Jean” (Kauffman) Sheffler.

Floyd Served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was in the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

He and his wife of over 51 years, Judy Lee (Bryan) Sheffler, were married on July 20, 1973 in Hagerstown, MD.

Floyd was a welder by trade and worked for Grove Manufacturing and EZ Dumper.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15 and William Max McLaughlin V.F.W. Post #695 of Waynesboro.

Floyd enjoyed the companionship of his dogs, caring for his chickens and riding his Harley. He also liked to spend time tinkering in his garage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, April Sentz (Randy), Michael Sheffler (Erica), Tracy Freeman (John), Nikki Kline (Brandon), all of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Suellen King (Richie) of Brunswick, MD, Anita Baker of Waynesboro, and Terri Sheffler of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Sheffler; and his dog, Daisy.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Richard Heinbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA where military graveside honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in the funeral home.
