Mr. Gerald Park Bonner, 96, a resident of Laurel Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday morning, February 26, 2025, in the nursing home.

Born September 24, 1928 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Mahlon B. and Susie R. (Moats) Bonner. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

Park was a graduate of Quincy High School.

He and his wife, the late Donna L. Bonner, were married on October 20, 1967. Mrs. Bonner died on November 16, 2014.

Park worked at Hess Manufacturing for over 20 years. He retired in 1993. Following his retirement, he helped care for his grandchildren.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fairview Ward in Waynesboro and enjoyed spending time with his family and his cat.

He is survived by one daughter, Shawn M. Glenn and her husband, David of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Cody D. Glenn and his wife, Paula and Caity M. Rhone and her husband, Fox, both of Waynesboro; four great-grandchildren, Jude Rhone, Tripp Rhone, and twins Grace Glenn and Amelia Glenn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the last of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Bonner, Harvey Bonner and G. Lamar Bonner; and two nephews, Kerry Bonner and Kippen “Kip” Bonner.

A private graveside dedication will be held in Quincy Cemetery.
