Mr. Gene L. Morgan, 94, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born November 25, 1930, in Tower City, PA, he was the son of the late Oscar Morgan and Maude Lininger.

Gene grew up in Tower City, where he graduated from Tower City High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, embodying a spirit of duty and honor. On June 11, 1962, he married the love of his life, Jeannie (Andrews) Morgan, and together they built a beautiful life filled with 64 years of unwavering devotion, laughter, and cherished memories.

A civil engineer by profession, Gene lent his expertise to numerous construction companies, leaving a legacy of skill and dedication. His brilliant mind found joy in the simple pleasures of life—piecing together jigsaw puzzles, losing himself in the pages of a good book, and, above all, showering his family with love and generosity. Gene was a remarkable man whose warmth, intelligence, and caring nature touched everyone who knew him. His love for his wife, Jeannie, was boundless, a beacon of devotion that inspired all.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannie; his five children, Rodney Morgan, Dana Bowers, Brian Morgan, Brenda McDaniel, and Debbie Himes; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry his love in their hearts forever.

Services will be held at the discretion of the family, who will honor Gene’s memory in a way that reflects his quiet dignity and profound love for those he held dear. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a kind word or a cherished memory of Gene, keeping his spirit alive in the stories you tell.
