George Scott Schafer, 54, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2025, alongside his cherished companion of 28 years, Pamela Sue Pentz.
Born on April 16, 1971, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late George F. Schafer, Jr., who passed away in January 2025, and Linda C. (Topa) Schafer of State Line, PA.
George was a devoted father to his son, George Thomas Schafer, who survives him. His kind and thoughtful nature touched everyone he met, and his love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. A man of quiet strength, George had a warm heart and a genuine care for those around him.
A Catholic by faith, George found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying soccer and football, and cherished peaceful moments spent fishing. His dedication to his work at Liveops reflected his commitment to providing for his loved ones.
George’s legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life service for George and his companion, Pamela, will be held at 5:00 P.M., on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, with Fr. Augusty Valomchalil MSSCC officiating. There will be a time to greet the family immediately following the service until 6:30 PM.
