Mr. Gilbert Lamberty, Jr., 78, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Sterling Care at South Mountain in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Born on November 6, 1946, in Añasco, Puerto Rico, he was the beloved son of the late Gilbert Lamberty and Carmen Vasquez.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Lamberty served his country with honor. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to the transportation industry as a truck driver, hauling freight across the region with commitment and professionalism, until his transition into the publishing industry.
Mr. Lamberty was a longtime and proud member of Teamsters Local 992 and a dedicated member of Cascade American Legion Post 239. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and had a true passion for working on cars. His skill as a mechanic and his love for being hands-on in the garage brought him much joy over the years.
He is survived by his loving children: Sabine Weikert, Eric N. Palme, and Steven B. Lamberty; his cherished grandchildren: Cody Weikert, Jesse Weikert, Dylan Weikert, Stephanie Sirface, Holden W. Lamberty, and Payton G. Lambert; and his adored great-grandchildren: Charlie G. Weikert, Andi M. Weikert, Nora Sirface, and Thatcher Sirface.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
