Gilson Robert Martin, of Hagerstown, MD, born October 16, 1955, died Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 3 days.
He was a member of Fetterhoff Chapel Mennonite Church, Chambersburg, PA.
He was the son of the late Harold E. and Cora R. (Martin) Martin.
He married Hazel Faye (Horst) Martin on July 19, 1980. Hazel passed away February 19, 2023.
He is survived by two sons: Leland (Elizabeth), Chambersburg, PA; and Lyle (Mary), Surrency, GA; three daughters: Denise (Noah) Mack, Danville, PA; Janice (Abner) Rudolph, Greencastle, PA; and Laureen (Darvin) Sensenig, Union Bridge, MD; 18 grandchildren; two brothers: H. Lynn Martin (Lorraine), St. Thomas, PA and Clifford Martin (Doris), Hagerstown, MD and one sister, Loretta Rudolph (Enos), Hagerstown, MD and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Devlyn and an infant daughter, Marlene.
Family will receive friends at New Guilford Brethren in Christ, 1575 Mont Alto Rd. Chambersburg, PA, on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Stouffers Mennonite Church, Smithsburg, MD, with the Fetterhoff Chapel Mennonite Church Ministry officiating.
Interment will follow, in Stouffers Pondsville Mennonite Church Cemetery, Smithsburg, MD.
Family requests the omission of flowers.
