Mrs. Harriet Lee (Whitfield) McCleaf, (91), of Fairfield, PA, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA.
Born August 4, 1933, in Broad Top City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Roberta (Williams) Whitfield.
She and her husband, the late Robert P. McCleaf, were married August 28, 1954. They enjoyed 31 years of marriage together when Mr. McCleaf passed away in 1985.
Mrs. McCleaf attended church at Wesley Chapel in Fountaindale, PA and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Poulson (Charles), and Kathy Carson (Jeff), both of Fairfield; grandchildren, Robert Poulson, Lisa Reed, Angela Johnson, Kelly Brown, and Jennifer Heffernan; great- grandchildren, Austin Poulson, Nicholas Reed, Reagan Reed, Jay Heffernan, Matthew Johnson, Ella Brown, Alli Brown, and Emery Brown; siblings, Darlene Fordyce, Donna Burns, Carol Shetter, Sharyle Goshen, Patricia Keith, and; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Sidney Whitfield, Shirley Flook, Gary Whitfield, Robert Whitfield and Craig Whitfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 27, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, with Pastor Lin Smalec officiating. Burial will follow in Fountaindale Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, in the funeral home.
