Ivy Marie Freelove, 62, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025.

She was born June 15, 1962, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Theodore “Sonny” Pryor and Dorothy (Shockey) Pryor and the youngest of three siblings.

She attended East Junior High in Waynesboro.

She was married to William “Billy” Freelove on June 16, 1979.

She was employed at Mountain Shadows Restaurant in Blue Ridge Summit for over 40 years and enjoyed seeing her regular customers and coworkers daily.

She was a selfless person, who always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spoiling them with gifts. She was the community mother to several childhood friends whom she considered her own.

She is survived by her husband William “Billy” Freelove; five children William “Teddy” Freelove and his fiancé, Amber Gossert, Adam “AJ” Freelove and his wife Erica, Sunny Freelove, Ashley (Freelove) Smith and her husband Josh, April (Freelove) Keunen and her husband Sebastiaan; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with an addition one on the way; and a sister, Melanie (Pryor) High.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Sonny Pryor, mother, Dorothy Pryor, brother Robert “Bobby” Reed, and brother-in-law Paul High.

A celebration of life will be held at the Quincy Community Center, 8098 Anthony Highway, Waynesboro, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. for friends to gather to share stories, embrace in laughter and cherished memories and also to remember and honor the life of Ivy Freelove.
