Mr. James E. “Jim” Brennan, 77, of Greencastle, PA, passed away, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA, after an extended battle with cancer.
Born November 28, 1946, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Walter F. Jr. and Ethel (Daywalt) Brennan.
Jim graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1967.
He and his wife, Rosemary D. “Rose” (Mull) Brennan were married July 23, 1976, in Hagerstown, MD.
Jim worked at various locations throughout his life including Site R, Landis Tool Company in Waynesboro, PA K-mart Distribution Center in Chambersburg, and K-Mart in Waynesboro. He formally retired from K-Mart in July 2015.
A man of strong faith, Jim was a member of Open Door Church in Chambersburg as well as Grace Baptist Church in Waynesboro. He was an avid creek fisher and enjoyed watching Nascar racing and football.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Patricia Daley and her husband Wilbur of Waynesboro, Theresa Wilcox and her husband Harold of Carlisle, PA, John Brennen and his wife Connie of Norfolk, VA, Mary Wetzel of Waynesboro, Tom Brennen and his wife Teresa of Waynesboro; one brother-in-law, Larry Mull of Manhattan, KS; three sisters-in-laws, Cherry Wilcox, Karen Moore, and Margaret Pelzl of Shellknob, MO; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Autumn, Torrie, Joe, Michael Jr., Heather, and Matthew; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James W.F. “Jimmy” Brennan, and two brothers, Charles “Chet” Brennan and Michael J. Brennan, and a brother-in-law, Henry Wetzel.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA with Pastor Laura Bulger officiating.
