Mr. Jared Andrew Bussard, 24, of Allentown, PA and formerly of Greencastle, PA passed away Monday, January 12, 2026.
Born August 11, 2001 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Joel L. and Angela N. (Barnes) Bussard of Greencastle.
He graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School with the Class of 2019. He later graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, PA, in 2023.
Jared was currently working as a Senior Aircraft Technician with Allegiant Airlines in Allentown, PA.
He was a member of Ebenezer U.B. Church, Greencastle and the Teamsters Union.
Jared was a hard worker and enjoyed training new employees. He also enjoyed collecting and repairing guns, shooting and Legos.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Jacob M. Bussard of Greencastle; his grandmother, Patsy MacAfee (William) of Keedysville, MD; his uncles, Duane Barnes (Jennifer), Chris MacAfee (Marlaina) and Michael Bussard (Stephanie); his cousin, Makenzie Barnes; the family dog, Virginia; and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald and Maxine Barnes, Johnny and Hazel Irene Bussard; and his great-grandmother, Z. Sophia Potter.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 16, 2026 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with Pastor David Grove officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Friday morning, in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
