Mr. Jared D. Rock, 41, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital, following a short illness.
Born June 14, 1983 in Waynesboro, he was the son of D. Joseph and Karen J. (Naugle) Rock of Waynesboro. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
He graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 2002.
Jared had worked for Green Arbor, B&D Lawn and Landscape, Inc., and he was last employed with B&H Lawn and Floral, all of the Waynesboro area.
Music and guitars were his passion. He was the lead guitarist for Eleven Minutes Out and played at numerous local venues. Jared enjoyed the music of the 80’s hairbands, landscaping and tree work. He was also very proud of his 8 years of sobriety.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Casey A. Rock of Waynesboro; two nieces, Emily Naugle and Charlee Rock; his step-grandmother, Freda Kepner of Fairfield, PA; his significant other, Brittany Q. Adams of Waynesboro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Brandon Joseph “BJ” Rock.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association, 3030 Waynesboro Pike, Fairfield, PA. Dress will be casual and your favorite band or musician t-shirts are encouraged.
