Kenneth Short, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away January 28, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital. He was born January 23, 1957, in Chambersburg, the son of Harry M. Short and late Margaret A Short. He had a great love for his country and served in United States Army last being stationed in Fort Benning, GA in the HHC 2d battalion 69th Armor division with his specialty being M1 Abrams Tank System Mechanic and Motor Transport Operations. while enlisted during his 15 years of service, he earned numerous honors and served a tour overseas in Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he worked at Ventura Foods as a machine operator retiring in 2021. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, had a great love and passion for animals, cherishing the many pets that he opened his heart and home to. He had a deep love and passion for anything automobile related and when not found working on his own vehicles, he enjoyed helping family and friends with their vehicle repairs and attending auto shows. He is preceded in death by; Margaret Short (mother), Harry Short Jr. (brother) and is survived by; Harry Short (Father), Sue Lensbower (husband Don), Cindy Lowman (husband Eric), Robert Short (brother), children Kendy Roberts, Christopher Short (wife Amanda), Amy Gsell (husband Trapper), Megan Short, grandchildren Lisa, Cortlyn, Lynlee, Klayton, Brandon, Colby and great grandchildren Brantley, Emersyn.
