Mr. Kirk D. Snyder, 64, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 1, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on September 9, 1960, in Waynesboro, Kirk was the beloved son of the late Robert L. “Bob” and Lois M. (Canter) Snyder.
Kirk was an active member of several local organizations, including Joe Stickell Post 15 American Legion, the Eagles Club, the
Loyal Order of Moose, United Auto Workers Local 1296, the Waynesboro Fish and Game, and the Owls Club. He also had a passion for fishing, woodworking, and studying Civil War history.
Kirk is survived by his sons, Colin Snyder and Colby Snyder, both of Waynesboro, as well as his cherished grandchildren Chandler Snyder, Juliana Snyder, and Brody Snyder, all of Waynesboro. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Sharon Dunn, and his loyal four-legged friend, Buddy.
In addition to his parents, Kirk was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. “Bobby” Snyder.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro. Services will be private, in accordance with the family’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kirk’s memory to the Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
