Mrs. Larue A. (Bricker) Sheaffer, 86, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the Waynesboro Hospital.

Born November 28, 1938, in Waynesboro, PA, she was one of 14 children born to the late Chester and Helen (Rowe) Bricker.

Mrs. Sheaffer graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1956.

She and her husband, the late Donald E. Sheaffer, were married on November 29, 1969. Mr. Sheaffer died on February 7, 2001.

Mrs. Sheaffer was employed as a steam press operator, working for several local clothing manufacturing businesses. She also worked for a time at Musselman’s Fruit Processing.

She has been a long-time collector of Barbies, amassing quite a sum over the years. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by a son, Richard D. Littrell and his wife, Judith of Waynesboro; two grandsons, Jamie Littrell and his wife, Kari of Hagerstown, MD and Issac Littrell of Waynesboro; four great-grandsons, Gavin Littrell, Maxwell Littrell, Logan Littrell and Elijah Littrell; three sisters, Geraldine Shockey, her twin sister Lavonn Wishard and Caroline Carson, all of Waynesboro; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly S. Littrell; and ten siblings: Doris Bricker, Mary Monn, Lorraine Socks, Nancy Welsh, Shirley Bricker, Kathleen Woodring, Bob Bricker, Junior Bricker and Dick Bricker, and Betty Barnhart.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday evening, June 6, 2025, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Religious services and burial in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA will be private.
