Linda Kay Good Miller Gettys, 85, of Chambersburg passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2024, at home. She was born September 9, 1939, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Fanny (Rebuck) and John Miller. She graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1957. She was married and had three children, Craig, Pamela, and Douglas Stepler and two stepsons Frank Gettys, and David Gettys. She worked for many years for Bud Jennings Auto Sales as a notary public, secretary, and stenographer during Bud’s District Judges’ hearings. On July 23,1979, she married Glenn Gettys and together they lived in Dover Township, York County. After Glenn’s passing she returned to live in Chambersburg. Linda loved her dogs, Gabriella 1&2, and her cats Winston, Churchill, and Oscar. She also loved feeding and watching her outdoor feathered friends. She loved reading books and was a great fan of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. She was an amazing cook who loved making elaborate meals for her family, and her "made from scratch" cakes and pies were the ultimate deserts! Her favorite food was a good steak with baked potato. Linda is survived by her sister, Sharon Dunn (Doug); sons, Craig Stepler (Monica), Doug Stepler (Amanda), stepson Frank Gettys (Maggie), and brother-in-law Marvin Timmons. She is also survived by; three grandchildren; Allan (Misti), Brandon (Christy), and Logan Stepler. three step grandchildren; Bernie Laughman (Kim), Nichole San Miguel, and Emily Stull, eleven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Gettys; maternal grandparents, Grace and Oscar Rebuck; paternal grandparents, Bessie (Good) and Frank S. Miller; stepfather, Harold Myers; sister, Doreen Timmons; daughter, Pamela Stepler; stepson David Gettys; and one great grandchild.
