Mrs. Mary “Jane” (Wilson) Flasher, 87, of Waynesboro, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 in WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
Born January 6, 1938 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn (Sheffler) Wilson.
Mrs. Flasher attended Waynesboro High School.
She and her husband, the late Mr. James E. “Jim” Flasher, were married June 29, 1957. They were together for over 33 years when he passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 1991.
A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Flasher had worked for a time at Fort Richie, MD, mending uniforms, later at Blue Chip in Wayne Heights before transferring to Blue Chip on North Grant Street.
She grew up attending Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles when she was able.
Mrs. Flasher is survived by one son, Keith A. Flasher and his wife, Lori of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Brittany Myers (Eric), Kaitlyn Scott (Justin), Cory Flasher, Shane Flasher and Heidi Siegrist; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Scott, Kinley Scott, Riley Flasher, Brooklyn Flasher and Dorothea Siegrist Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Vincel B. Flasher who passed away July 18, 2024; infant great-grandson, Nicholas Scott; sisters, Shirley Houser, Virginia “Ginny” Monn and Diane Harbaugh; and brothers, Ed, Jim and Fred Wilson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA with Pastor Greg Helman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
