Mrs. M. Winifred (Tressler) Miller, 97, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 12, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.
Born January 23, 1928, in Loys Station, MD, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Catherine J. (Baird) Tressler.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and later graduated Chambersburg Beauty School.
She and her husband, the late Max E. Miller were married September 27, 1947, in Hagerstown, MD. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage together before Mr. Miller passed away June 7, 2015.
Mrs. Miller was employed in the retail industry from 1972 until her retirement in 1990, when she became committed to helping to care for her granddaughter.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she treasured time spent with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her home and being outside, whether trimming her yard or weeding her flowerbeds.
Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Liane Tressler and her husband John of St. Charles, MO and Lori Rogina and her husband, Dr. Larry Rogina of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Amanda, Melissa, Devin, Melanie & Lauren; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Naomi, Isla and Kade; two brothers, Harold Tressler (Judy) of Chambersburg and Roy Tressler (Marjorie) of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Schildt; and three brothers, Joe Tressler, Donald Tressler and infant Charles Tressler.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2025, in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro with Pastor Brian Black officiating.
Winnie was passionate when it came to animals. This trait she passed to her daughters, granddaughters and great grandchildren. One of her favorite places to visit in her later years was Happy Hooves and Feathers Farm in Clover, SC whenever she visited her granddaughter, Lauren and great-grandchildren, Kade and Isla. Happy Hooves and Feathers Farm is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes as a nonprofit organization. Their goal is to support the growth and development of individuals with disabilities through agricultural education, sensory experiences, and animal interactions.
