Mr. Mark Dwayne Shockey, 61, of Mercersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA, surrounded by his family.

Born April 20, 1964 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Judy (Draper) Crissey of Waynesboro and the late Charles Alexander “Alec” Shockey.

Mark was a graduate of Waynesboro Area High School with the Class of 1982 and continued studies at York Technical Institute.

He dedicated 26 years of service to Builder’s First Source in Point of Rocks, MD and was a successful salesman for the company.

Mark was a dedicated husband, devoted father and a Christian. He had a lifelong passion for sports, was an athlete his entire life and loved the outdoors, but above all, he treasured time spent with his family the most, who will cherish the moments they had with him.

Mark is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mrs. Staci (Martin) Shockey whom he married September 26, 1992; son, Zachary Shockey of Mercersburg; daughter, Megan Shockey Miller and her husband, Zaen of Mercersburg; and brother, Michael Brian Shockey and his wife, Crystal of Waynesboro along with a host of extended family members and friends.

Mark will be remembered for his love of his family, his friendly personality, sense of humor and the gift of being able to talk to anyone and relate to people easily.

A service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Michael V. Newman officiating. Burial will be held privately in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, June 10th, in the funeral home.
