Mark Edward Michalsky, 51, of Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Doey’s House, Hagerstown, MD.
Born July 15, 1973, in Waynesboro, PA, he is the son of the late Edward Lee Michalsky and Ellen Louise Miller (Rotz) of Greencastle, PA.
He married Sheri Janine (Stouffer) Michalsky on November 5, 1994. They were blessed, having celebrated 30 years of marriage.
Mark graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in 1991. Mark worked for Jerr-Dan from 1994-2005. Mark then spent the past 20 years working at Mack Truck/Volvo Powertrain in Hagerstown, MD.
Mark was an active member of Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church in Greencastle, PA, where he served on the safety/security team and property commission.
Mark enjoyed hunting and had a passion for snowmobiling, where he spent time with many friends.
He was a wonderful husband and father, investing much time in his family. He was a friend to all. It was not hard to create a bond with someone as caring and selfless as Mark.
In addition to his mother and his wife, Mark is survived by his son, Bryce Michalsky (Dara) of Greencastle, PA, and his daughter, Rachel Michalsky of Chambersburg, PA, and his five siblings; Kathie Small (Troy) of Harrisburg, PA, Tim McCulloh (Debbie) of Waynesboro, PA, Patti Nowell (Roger) of Waynesboro, PA, Karen Robinson (Clarence) of Waynesboro, PA, and Kris Wile (Fred) of Waynesboro, PA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, E. Faye Stouffer of Greencastle, many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Theodore and Martha Michalsky and maternal grandparents Guy and Pearl Rotz.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, March 3, 2025, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St, Greencastle, PA.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, 146 Leitersburg Street, Greencastle, PA with Rev. David Rawley officiating. Burial will follow for family members.
