Mrs. Mary V. “Molly” (Passuello) Peck, 77, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior at Green Ridge Village, Newville, PA.
Born August 25, 1947 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Eileen (Pryor) Passuello.
Molly graduated from Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1965.
She and her husband, the late Gary A. Peck, Sr., were married on March 26, 1966 in the Germantown Church of God, Cascade, MD. Mr. Peck died on March 4, 2017.
Molly cared for her family raising their 3 children until 1987, when she was employed at the Washington County Health Department. She was the first secretary assigned to Catoctin Summit Adolescent Program. While her official title was administrative secretary those that worked with her knew as “Wonder Woman”. She retired in 2010, after 23 years of services.
She was a member of Germantown Church of God, Cascade, MD, where she served as Deaconess and a Sunday School teacher. Her faith was very important to her and she was a shining light to others.
Family was always very important to her, if you were a friend you were part of the family. Anything that her family was interested in was of interest to her. Family gatherings, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas were very important to her as she always made this time special for her family. Molly loved to watch her children and grandchildren participate in sports and activities – no matter the activity she was interested. She was affectionally known as Meemaw to her grandchildren.
The Waynesboro Stallions Organization was very important to Molly. She enjoyed supporting not only her children and grandchildren, but anyone that played football or cheered. She was very well known for the meals she cooked at coaches meetings. She always wanted to know how the Stallions were doing.
She is survived by three children, Gary Peck, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Waynesboro, Jeffrey Peck and his wife Judy of Waynesboro, Amy Julias and her husband Matthew of Carlisle, PA; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Peck, Erin Peck, Kayla Peck, Kara Peck, Jared Peck, Sophia Julias and Allison Julias.
