Mr. Michael Charles Jacobus, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Waynesboro, PA, surrounded by his loving family on December 19, 2025.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Michael attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Ewing High School with the Class of 1957. A gifted athlete, he served as co-captain of his high school football team. He was also an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, proudly earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Michael honorably served in the United States Air Force for eight years as a jet engine mechanic. After his military service, he worked for the U.S. Steel Corporation until his retirement in 2001. In his later years, he enjoyed golfing with his friends, and was a dedicated model maker, avid to airplanes, and was known for his attention to detail and craftsmanship.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sibyl Austin Jacobus; sons, Thomas Austin Jacobus (Charlene Jacobus), and Michael Anthony Jacobus (Cary Barbin); his sister, Mildred Capodici; his granddaughter, Lynn Jacobus Brotzman (Benjamin Brozman); and great-grandsons, Preston Brotzman and Rhett Brozman.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America, at PO Box 152079 Irving, TX 75015, in honor of Michael’s lifelong connection to the organization.
