Mr. Michael F. Foreman, 67, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born March 17, 1957, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Gladys L. (Paden) Foreman.
He graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1975.
He proudly served on the USS FORRESTAL CV 59 as an ET1 for the US Navy from 1975 until 1986.
He married Trudy C. (Sheaffer) Foreman on June 11, 2009. They renewed their vows in September of this year, in Tennessee, in a beautiful ceremony with their family by their side.
Michael retired in 2022 from Fiserv of Hagerstown, formerly First Data Merchant Services.
He was a past president of the former F.O.E. of Waynesboro and the president of the former Eagle Riders #1758. He was an active post member of the Waynesboro American Legion.
Michael loved bowling. He was on the Sunshine Bowling League for much of his life. He also enjoyed golf and going to the beach. He was a great cook who loved an opportunity to fire up his grill or smoker! He treasured the companionship of his dog Lucy, and he still felt the sting of the loss of his dog Reni and could even tell you how long it had been since she passed, down to the day! Michael will be remembered as a gentle soul; a man who was kind to everyone and had a wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, Trudy, he is survived by his two daughters, whom he loved dearly: Jen Kauffman and her husband, Shane and Tasha Horst and her husband, Jon, both of Waynesboro; his five grandchildren, who brought him much joy, Cody, Destiny, Dylan, Alyssa and Tyler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard C. “Dick” Foreman, who passed away May 29, 2023.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, PA.
