Carol Wallace, 81, passed away June 22, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 6, 1943, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of Dorothy and Robert Shaffer. Carol married the love of her life, Michael Wallace, and they were blessed to spend 57 years together and raised three children. Carol was the proud co-owner of William’s Dress Store in her younger years and was always happy to give you her expert opinion on the latest fashion trends. She also spent several years working at the Stanley Company, where nobody could have worked harder than she did. She became very involved with several Ladies Auxiliaries throughout her life and would volunteer a lot of her free time to help these organizations out. She enjoyed traveling, the casino, reading, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Carol also thoroughly enjoyed doing crafts and made some of the most beautiful wreaths and flower arrangements that you had ever seen. A lot of people knew her as the "fudge lady" because of her amazing peanut butter fudge. Carol is survived by three children, Danielle Runyon and husband Ron, Curtis Wallace and wife Theresa, and Sandra Shaffer; four grandchildren, Chelsea Parks and husband Jhon, Joshua Myers and wife Liz, Marissa and Nick; eight great-grandchildren, Chloe, Xander, Serenity, Hazleigh, Kiersten, Johnny, Jerry, and Austin; a number of great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wallace and a grandson, Michael Wallace. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Sellers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 297 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Pastor Alann Schmidt officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
