Mrs. Nancy M. (Bietsch) Pittman, 83, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully to her eternal reward Monday, May 19, 2025, in Mercy House, Chambersburg, with her family by her side surrounding her with songs, prayers, and stories.
Born February 8, 1942, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Merle K. and Helen R. (Bailey) Bietsch.
Nancy graduated from Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1960.
She and her husband of over 64 years, Gerald Pittman, were married on December 10, 1960.
Nancy worked for LKY & Descom, a division of Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, doing clerical for 20 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother and was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children, Gerald “Jerry” Pittman and his wife Bonnie of Marion, PA, Victoria Ritchey and her husband Mark, David Pittman and his wife Tina, Beth Mummert and her husband Dave, all of Chambersburg, and Michelle Ridgley and her husband Shawn of Fayetteville, PA; 12 grandchildren, Heather, David, Jessica, Jerry, Andrew, Alex, Lindsay, Rachel, Kylene, Mary, Sharrah, and Becka; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Douglas Bietsch (Ann); and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 6, 2025, in Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Bill Shank officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the church.
