Mrs. Patricia L. (Rock) Sellers, 84, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 in Mercy House Chambersburg, PA.
Born August 26, 1941 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bennard “Benny” and Edith (Baker) Rock.
Mrs. Sellers was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1959.
She and her husband, the late Mr. Thomas K. Sellers, were married September 9, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD. They shared 47 years together when he passed away August 25, 2008.
Mrs. Sellers devoted most of her life to the quiet heroism of homemaking, yet she did work outside the home in her early years. She spent over twenty years at Gibbles Restaurant and lent her hands to the Waynesboro Knitting Mill. Her home, always kept in immaculate order, reflected the care and intention she poured into everything she touched. Deeply caring and endlessly thoughtful, she found her greatest peace within the walls of her home, accompanied by the familiar voice of Greencastle’s WRGG drifting through the rooms. In the kitchen, she was nothing short of an artist. A masterful cook and baker, she crafted every dish from scratch, guided no by written instructions but by instinct. The recipes lived only in her mind, yet she executed them with unfailing perfection. And when the day slowed, she loved to lose herself in a good book.
She is survived by one son, Troy T. Sellers and his wife, Teresa of Greencastle; one daughter, Beth A. Coleman of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Erika Strakonsky and her husband, Gary of Greencastle, Tyler Coleman and his wife, Jordyn of Waynesboro and Callie White and her husband, Austin of Bridgewater, VA; six great-grandchildren, Carson Sellers, Miranda Strakonsky, Samuel Coleman, Grace Coleman, Riley White and Maddie White; one brother, Jeff Rock and his wife, Lori of Laporte, PA; and sister-in-law, Linda Rock of Waynesboro, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Rock.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Chambersburg Hospital and Mercy House for the excellent care they provided Mrs. Sellers during her stay.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Browns Mill Cemetery, Kauffman Station with Pastor Mike Carey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the PTO at Franklin County Learning Center, 2397 Loop Road, Chambersburg PA 17202.
