Mrs. Pattie (Lupfer) Bevis, 87, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Transitions Health Care, Chambersburg, PA.

Born November 22, 1937, in Powell, OH, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Virginia (Bowman) Lupfer.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Heidelburg University in 1959. She later did graduate work at Ohio State University and Penn State University.

She and her husband, Mr. Lorne H. Bevis, Jr., were married June 4, 1960, in Columbus, OH.

Mrs. Bevis taught math and science in Circleville and Burton, OH, Prince George’s County, MD, and Chambersburg. She formally retired in 1999.

She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Fayetteville, was a national associate of Active and Retired Federal Employees, volunteer for American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and American Diabetes Association.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Steven Bevis of Queensbury, NY, Nancy Sue Bevis Phillips and her husband Dr. James B. Phillips of Middleton, MD; four grandchildren, Steven A. Bevis, Davis Phillips, Killian Bevis, and Kingston Bevis; and her sister, Bonnie Lupfer Mills of Canal Winchester, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lupfer Denney and two brothers, Larry and William Lupfer.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
