Regina K. “Reggie” Rhoe, 64, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on August 7, 1961, in Frederick, MD, Regina was the beloved daughter of Betty A. (Smith) Rhoe of Chambersburg and the late Ronnie H. Rhoe, who preceded her in death in 2017.
She was a 1980 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. Regina spent more than 30 years making her home in York, PA, before returning to the Chambersburg area about five years ago. During her years in York, she worked for many years as a deli manager at County Market, where her friendly nature and strong work ethic left a lasting impression. She later served for 17 years as manager of Jim and Nina’s Pizza in Dover, PA, treating coworkers and customers like family. Most recently, Reggie was honored to serve as the church secretary at Welsh Run Covenant Brethren Church in Mercersburg, where she was a devoted member.
Reggie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, sharing a good meal, watching movies, and spending time with the people she loved. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went. Reggie truly lived each day with gratitude and happiness. She had a playful sense of humor and, despite cheerfully admitting she wasn’t the best singer, she delighted in singing loudly and proudly to her nephews, just to make them laugh.
In addition to her mother, Regina is survived by her brother, Gary L. Rhoe and his wife, Sherry, of Waynesboro and her cherished nieces and nephews: Aaron Hykes and his wife, Kristina; Justin Hykes and his wife, Mandy; James Rhoe and his wife, Michelle; Hunter Rhoe and his wife, Mikayla; Hayden Rhoe and his wife, Mattie; Kelly Saufley and her husband, Cory; and Douglas Harbaugh and his wife, Jill. She was also lovingly known as “Aunt Reggie” to her great-nieces and nephews: Alexis, Braelynn, Reid, Deliliah, Whitney, Elyse, Ellie, Owen, and Harper, all of whom brought her great joy and she also leaves behind her dear friend of many years, Jamie Ness of York, PA.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry E. Rhoe, and her sister, Donna E. Rettger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Welsh Run Covenant Brethren Church, 11420 Welsh Run Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236, with Pastor Tim Kent officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
THE VIEWING SCHEDULED FOR 6:00 PM UNTIL 8:00 PM ON MONDAY EVENING AT THE FUNERAL HOME HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE EXPECTED SNOW. We will still have a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions in Reggie’s memory may be made to Welsh Run Covenant Brethren Church, 11420 Welsh Run Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
