Robert Conrad Allwein, of Fayetteville PA, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on January 6, 2025. Robert was born the youngest of 8 children to Russell C. and Florence M. Allwein in Lebanon, PA. Robert later settled in Burtonsville, MD, where he and his wife, Catherine, raised their family during their 60 wonderful years together. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country with honor and dedication. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from LaSalle University and then worked as an accountant for the federal government for almost 30 years. In retirement, Robert’s love of golf led him to work as a course marshal when he and Catherine retired to Shallotte, NC. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Allwein (Stacy) and is survived by his loving wife, Catherine, and their children, Russell Allwein (Stacey), Christine Sweers (Don), Catherine Allwein (Mike), and Patricia Gage (Chris). He also leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Robert’s legacy of love, resilience, humor, passion for sports and charitable giving will live on through his family and the countless memories shared by all who knew him. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA.
