Robert “Bob” Fleagle, 97, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Born December 12, 1927, he was the son of Gilbert Clay Fleagle and Mary Alice McClain Fleagle.

He served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

Bob married Shirley McKenrick June 1955. She passed away March 2013.

In his younger years he worked at Zooks Skating Rink and the Waynesboro Shoe Factory. He was last employed and retired from Letterkenny Army Depot.

He was a member of the Owls Club, VFW, and Waynesboro American Legion.

Bob is survived by brothers Howard (Bing) Fleagle of Greencastle, and Walter (Jean) Fleagle of Waynesboro and sisters Mary Lee Fleagle of Blue Ridge Summit and Linda (Tom) Wynkoop of Waynesboro and sister-in-law Lois Fleagle. He is also survived by his companion Lois Martin of Waynesboro.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles (Leo) Fleagle and Richard (Dick) Fleagle.

The family would especially like to thank his nephew Vince Calimer and wife Julie for their help and support over many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 20, 2025 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro with Rev. Christopher Onyeneke, MSSCC officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro., where military graveside honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Thursday morning, in the church.
