Roland R. Hess, 68, of Waynesboro, PA died March 17, 2025 in Rochester, NY, following brain tumor surgery.
Born January 8, 1957, he was the son of Donald and Isabelle (Benedict) Hess. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Falling Spring District, Chambersburg, PA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Loretta (Jamison) Hess; one son, Irvin and his wife, Janell (Deaton); one daughter, Myrna Riffey and her husband, Laban; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Edward and his wife, Ann (Lesher) of Marion, PA and Lowell and his wife, Beth (Hess) of Waynesboro; one sister, Laura Hess and her husband, Eldon of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were one daughter, Sylvia Kay and one son, Brian Ray, who both died in an automobile accident in July of 1997.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the Falling Spring Meeting House, 2580 Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday and 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, at the Falling Spring Meeting House.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
