Mr. Ronald L. Martz, 86, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born August 25, 1938 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Lester Martz and Mary Ethel (Shockey) Harshman.

Mr. Martz graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School with the Class of 1957.

He married Delores Jean (Smith) Martz on February 6, 1960. Mrs. Martz died on September 17, 1971.

Mr. Martz worked at Frick Company, Waynesboro, for over 27 years in the foundry department. He later worked for 13 years at Gaumer’s Industries, Chambersburg, as a molder.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the NHRA.

Mr. Martz enjoyed collecting guns, drag racing and working in his garage.

He is survived by four children, Ira F. “Junior” Kump of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Donna L. Hart of Kansas City, MO, Willie L. Martz of York, PA and Lester Lee “Boomer” Martz of Waynesboro; his step-son, John “Doug” Craig of Fairfield, PA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robley Martz of Fayetteville, PA; one sister, Wilma Hart of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Constance D. “Connie” Seals on March 16, 2005.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 28, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with his brother, Pastor Robley Martz officiating. Burial will follow in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Friday morning, in the funeral home.
