Mr. Terry C. Baker, 88, of South Mountain, PA passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.

Born June 29, 1937 in South Mountain, he was the son of the late Clyde and Wilda (Warren) Baker.

He graduated from Quincy High School with the Class of 1956.

Mr. Baker enlisted in the United States Army. He served from 1957 until 1959 and military policeman in Germany.

He and his wife of over 60 years, Nancy L. (Gratton) Baker, were married on June 26, 1965.

Throughout his life, Mr. Baker worked for Frick Company, Waynesboro Knitting Mill and South Mountain Restoration Center. Starting in 1989, he became self employed as an excavator, which he did for 20 years.

He was a life member and officer for the South Mountain Fish and Game and served as an EMT with the South Mountain Volunteer Fire Company.

Mr. Baker enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Robin Yaukey; two grandchildren, Kaylyn Holtry (Chris) and Nicholas Yaukey (Emily); three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Baker (Kathy); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Baker, Charles Baker, Marvin Baker and Leon Baker.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
