Mr. Thomas E. Wagaman, 75, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025, in his home.
Born July 31, 1949 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Orville A. and Marie A. (Bricker) Wagaman. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
He and his wife of over 56 years, Barbara Jean (Hudson) Wagaman, were married on June 1, 1968, in Hagerstown, MD.
Tom worked as a machinist at Mack Truck, Hagerstown, for many years and later at D.L. Martin, Mercersburg, PA. He retired in 2013.
He played football for the Waynesboro Tigers, where he was known by the nickname “Bull”. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing, crabbing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Lisa A. Spangler and her husband, Kerry and Michael A. Wagaman and his wife, Gina, all of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Naylor of Cascade, MD and Doris Mowen of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie L. Burger who died on May 11, 2024; three sisters, Shirley Long, Barbara Ridenour and Norma Bowie; and two brothers, Buddy Wagaman and Orville Wagaman, Jr.
Private graveside services will be held in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
