Mrs. Vivian J. (Potts) Biser, 94, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Born November 18, 1929, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ada (Wilhide) Potts.
Mrs. Biser graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1948.
She and her husband, the late Merle K. Biser, were married on April 17, 1949, in Waynesboro. Mr. Biser died on August 22, 2012.
Mrs. Biser was the store accountant for Martin’s Food Stores in Waynesboro and Hagerstown, MD. She retired after more than 25 years of service.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Waynesboro
She is survived by her grandson, Bryan E. Biser of Waynesboro; her great-grandchildren, Kiersten M. Biser and Brayden J. Biser; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth M. Biser; six sisters, Mildred Potts, Helen Lohman, Lucille Gourley, Florence Potts, Naomi Potts, and Armatha K. Helm and five brothers: Donald Potts, Russell Potts, James Potts, Guy Potts and Roy Potts.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, with Rev. Dwan Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Wednesday morning, in the funeral home.
