Mr. William L. “Will” Angle, 65, of Elliottsburg, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born October 4, 1960 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Nancy L. (Stoops) Angle of Fairfield, PA and the late William R. “Bill” Angle.
Will proudly served his country as a member of the United States Naval Construction Battalion (SeaBees) as a Construction Mechanic in the Gulf War – Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a reservist in 2000 and retired as a civilian Construction Mechanic Supervisor at NCBC-Gulfport, MS. in 2024.
He belonged to an organization that has no meeting place or dues, where the members are only those special people who are always willing to stop what they are doing and lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Will loved to play golf and cook. He made a pot of red beans and rice you’d never forget and always wanting seconds.
Known as Will to most and Dad by those who loved him the most, he spent most of his life providing for his family and also proudly serving his country, but he made time to squeeze in a couple trips to NASCAR races as well. A reserved man most of the time except for those wild weekend nights when you could find his cowboy hat on his head, George Strait blaring from the speakers and the unmistakable sound of a vacuum cleaner as he cleaned house. He loved a little quieter and more subtle than some but his love was just as strong as anyone else, the kind of love you truly felt deep within in your heart. He will be missed by all that knew him and loved forever by those who knew and loved him the most.
In addition to his mother, Will is survived by two children Derek Angle of Gulfport MS and Katelyn (Angle) Butler and her husband, Brandon of Gulfport, MS; three grandchildren, Aniyah T., Jaxon N. and Cori B; his siblings, Karla J. Stahler and her husband, George of Elliottsburg, PA and Dianna L. Yeager and her husband, Ron of Waynesboro, PA and Kurt A. Angle and his wife, Heather of Richmond Hills, GA; and his beloved dog, “Lexi. “
He was preceded in death by his father on October 28, 2025.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA is assisting with the arrangements.
